Woodbridge
Woodbridge is a picturesque market town located in
Suffolk, East Anglia. Set on the River Deben, the town has a rich and varied history that can be traced back to the 10th century.

Woodridge was originally a
boat-making centre and is renowned for building 16th century warships for the likes of Sir Francis Drake and Edward III. The local boatyards are now used by sailing enthusiasts to maintain their pleasure-craft - the town has become a popular base for visitors keen on exploring the local waterways.
Much of Woodbridge's history is showcased through its architecture.
Woodbridge Tide Mill dates back to 1170 circa and is only one of four found in the United Kingdom. The narrow streets of the town centre are also reminiscent of a bygone era and are punctuated by landmarks such as the Riverside Theatre and St John's Parish Church.

Some of the main Woodbridge attractions include the recently renovated
Shire Hall. Built in the 16th century it houses the Suffolk Horse Museum, which celebrates the Suffolk Punch working horse. The nearby Woodbridge museum is also worth visiting and displays exhibits and information relating to the varied history of Woodbridge.
