What the Customers Say
Sykes Cottages – “The family had a fabulous time at the cottage, great location by the river which the kids enjoyed playing in and safe for them to have adventures.”
Trip Advisor – “We stayed in Glanrafon for a long weekend in Oct 2016. What can i say…. It’s a stunning little cottage, the kind you see on a box of chocolates. With it’s own little river at the front the cottage is in a very peaceful place.”
What the Owners Say
Our lovely holiday cottage in Wales is virtually on the banks of the River Clwyd, in summer a babbling brook and in winter sometimes a raging torrent! Glanrafon is just outside the very small village of Melin-y-Wig (‘Mill of the Woodland’) and has been a much-cherished refuge and place of healing for us and for our family since 1963.
Inside its thick traditional stone walls the cottage is cosy, well-equipped and comfortable, ideal for breaks in winter as well as summer. Outside it’s a haven for walkers, wildlife enthusiasts and those keen on water pursuits. This charming holiday cottage in Wales is close to fly and coarse fishing, boating on Bala Lake and within striking distance of surfing in Snowdonia!
