What the Owners Say

The Fisherman’s Rest was built in the early 1800’s (we haven’t been able to determine the exact date but believe it to be around 1790 – 1810) and was used by local fishermen and their families. It still retains its original charm and character. It lends it self ideally to couples or small families looking for a holiday cottage to rent in the Old Town of Hastings. The Property is ideally located for visiting the Hastings Country Park (all 660acres of it) which is accessible from steps leading from Tackleway, or by using the funicular railway.

Hastings Old Town is right on the doorstep where you can visit the High Street and George Street for the many pubs and restaurants, antique and curio shops, art galleries and museums. You are also close to the sea front for the fish markets, fishing fleet, amusements, boating lakes, crazy golf, beach etc.
