What the Customers Say
Sykes Cottages – “Lovely cottage, great location if you are looking for something fairly remote in the countryside.”

What the Owners Say
The cottage has been refurbished throughout and is now presented as a blend of an old building with modern facilities such as WiFi and, of course, a cosy wood burning stove in the lounge. It is located in the heart of the Wye Valley in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in private woodlands next to a Gwent Wildlife designated SSSI area.
There are beautiful walks from the doorstep and the Best Pub in Wales (AA for 2012/13) 1.5 miles away for excellent food and local ales. The market town of Monmouth (once selected by The Sunday Times as the third best place to live in the whole of the UK) is just 6 miles away.
A great base for River Wye holidays, this self catered holiday cottage is ‘just a walk through the woods’ from the river itself. There are a wide variety of activities to choose from including canoeing, cycling, fishing or just resting. We’re sure you’ll be happy staying here.
